The two Clubs met each other at the Mercure Hotel Lesquin as usual but, instead of heading back to our hosts houses we went instead into town as the two Clubs were taking part in an unveilling ceremony led by the Mayor of Lesquin to recognise the work Rotary had done in the town.

It was then back to the Town Hall for some celebrations which gave the various Club members a chance to talk to each other.

Following this and some lunch we had a trip round a local historical bunker led by an expert. The only problem was that the guide was so enthusiatic, the trip over-ran in time so we were late getting to our hosts houses to get changed for the evening.

Although it was a bit later than intended, the evening was spent in an establishment that did karaoke. Although not everyone had a good voice most people had a go at singing, though there were some who could've been professional (!)

Sunday morning saw us up bright (?) and early to get on to a bus that was taking us to one of the local highlights. It appears that there is an hospital complex that is one of the largest in Europe and we had a trip around it which took a couple of hours.
Following the trip it was lunch time. During this Frazer (who was standing in for the President) carried out a couple of presentations. One was the traditional President to President present giving. The other was to present last year's President, Max Rousie with his 'Past President' lapel badge.
Following a hearty lunch, presentations and pictures, it was time for our intrepid travellers to hit the road and do battle with the Channel Tunnel and the M25 before getting home late on the Sunday evening.
